Founder & CEO

Angelo Buglio

Angelo Buglio, a Sicilian with a rich family history in hospitality, has always been passionate about the industry, having helped out in his family’s store in Italy.

Eager to expand his horizons, he traveled the world to gain diverse hospitality experience, working with renowned companies like 1-Group and Michelin-starred Garibaldi.

Angelo honed his skills in delivering exceptional dining experiences, bartending, and restaurant management. Now, here at Caffe Italia, he is committed to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where every guest feels like family while sharing authentic Italian flavours.

Head Chef

Chef Francesco Serra

41-year-old Chef Francesco Serra was born in Sardinia, a large island in the south of Italy.He began his culinary journey at the age of 10, helping with his family’s business in the production of extra virgin olive oil.

Chef Francesco started his professional kitchen career in Italy before moving to the UK to further hone his skills.

Since relocating to Singapore in 2014, he has taken on the role of Head Chef at Caffè Italia, bringing with him a wealth of experience gathered over the years.

His culinary philosophy is rooted in “tradition and evolution,” blending ancient recipes with modern techniques to create innovative Italian cuisine.
